Organise for the Doncaster Demo against the Cuts

There will be a Coalition of Resistance meeting at the Womens Centre, Cleveland Street, on Thursday 4th November at 7.30pm to discuss and plan how we are going to build the biggest possible demonstration in Doncaster on the 13th November. Make sure you come so that we can share ideas and translate the excitement generated by the Tony Benn launch meeting into real action to defend the people of Doncaster against the vicious cuts we face under the Con-Dem government.

  1. Can we have more details for the 13th, please?! If we’re to bring anyone from York, we need a time to aim to arrive, and possibly a finish time as well.

    Hi Graham,
Our demonstration will assemble at 12 o clock, Saturday 13th November outside the Mansion House, which is in the centre of Doncaster. It would be great to see you there with people from York. We plan to march around the town and have local and national speakers (we’re working on that at the moment) so all in all I’d say it will last for a couple of hours or so.
One of our activists who works at York FE College is also hoping to bring people from his workplace over to Doncaster, so it looks like there may be a a few people from York there.
Good luck with your local campaign,
    Mick
